Downloading fonts........(how to) Empty Downloading fonts........(how to)

There are two options:

a) Create a file called My Fonts in your My Docs section, or

b) Save them to your root font file, which is normally in C:, Windows, Fonts (if you're using XP)

Most font files have to be un-zipped and most will save to My Recieved Files. When you un-zip them, save them to either one of the above locations. For fancy stuff that isn't used often, I save to My Fonts.....for ones that may be used often, I save them to my root Font directory.

If you want to use a font for graphic work (ie: PSP), and you've saved it in My Fonts you open it up and minimise it, so it's showing on the taskbar.....when you open your application and choose the font drop-down, it will show.....when you've finished your work, you can close it.

If you've saved it the root directory then it will show automatically in the drop down.

Don't forget.....if you use fancy fonts in a normal application that other people havn't got in their root directory, they won't see it.
